Double celebration for Krauss-Maffei Automation AG

The large number of visitors at the Open Day clearly demonstrated the strong roots of the automation business segment of KraussMaffei in Schwaig/Oberding. Over 1,000 visitors celebrated the company’s 30th anniversary together with the employees and were able to gain an impression of the efficiency and wide range of applications of the automation solutions by means of superb exhibits of linear and industrial robots. “The reception and appreciation which I saw among customers, partners, employees and the numerous guests from the region made me extremely happy and proud”, said Josef Neureder, Chairman of the Board of Management of Krauss-Maffei Automation AG.

Proactive steps by plastics associations across the world to deal with marine litter challenges

Following up on their meeting and joint declaration on plastics and marine debris back in March, over 30 global plastics industry leaders met again in Dubai 14 to 17 November, 2011 to chalk out plans ahead for 2012 onwards. The group issued a news release from Dubai and stated they had identified 100 projects in 32 countries that are aimed at addressing the issue from all parts of the world. The group is inviting assistance from other stakeholders and has formed 3 main teams 1) the Americas, 2) Europe & Africa and 3) Asia and Australia which will coordinate activities of the sub groups.
